Volunteer Newsletter

Volunteer 25, October 2007 (707kb PDF)Volunteer is the premier publication of Birds Australia's Threatened Bird Network (TBN).  TBN is a community based program which aims to encourage volunteer participation in urgent tasks for Australia's threatened birds, and Volunteer is the main vehicle for advertising these opportunities.  Published twice per year (usually in March and October), recovery teams and conservation projects advertise activities for which volunteer involvement is sought.

Over the years a large number of programs have utilised Volunteer to promote their programs to all volunteers registered with the network.  These programs have covered the breadth and width of the country, from Gouldian Finch surveys in northern Australia to Orange-bellied Parrot nest monitoring in Tasmania.  There are currently around 30 projects listed with TBN, so why not check out the latest issue of Volunteer to see if you can help?
